The Estate of Michael Brown, 1953-2013: a true Old Fashioned Auction

Featured in this Unreserved sale is a scarce Vintage Automoton Guthermann Black Musicians Toy in working condition with the articulated figures accompanied by music.  Also, there is a wonderful Marx mechanical "Ring-a-Ling" Circus wind-up toy in working condition.  Of special interest is a documented 1865 Civil War Sword complete with Scabbard, Hanger & Belt with Buckle which belonged to Asa P. Pierce  of the Union 26th Regiment New York Cavalry with a copy of the original National Archive Veteran's Records; along with a Civil War Drum dated 1865 & signed, " C. Betts  P. Leyden N.Y."  The exterior bears an oval cartouche decorated with an American Eagle & Flag, double Cannons, Banner & Flags. 

In addition the sale consists of a good selection of Early Whale Oil, Camphene & Kero Lighting; Textiles; Art Glass; a good Horological Trade Sign, Early Books; a Document signed by William H. Seward: Secretary of State 1852; a great collection of North Country GAR Badges; Toys & Dolls; Paintings & Prints, including several landscapes of the North Country; Fireplace items; a good selection of original painted Furniture, including a petite 18th C. Queen Anne highboy as well as a great selection of Antique Accessories.
