To view a map and detailed directions from your door to ours click on the Yahoo Maps link to the left and enter your address in.  They'll give you step by step directions.  It is good to note however, that coming from New York City to Hesse Galleries, the directions Yahoo provides will take you on a slightly longer route.  Use the directions below for the fastest trip to our doorstep.  

Coming From Downstate

(NYC, Middletown, and State of  New Jersey)

N.Y. State Thruway (I-87) to Harriman exit. Pick up Rte. 17 West to Roscoe. From Roscoe take 206 to Downsville (follow signs for Oneonta). Go thru Downsville to Walton. When you come into Walton, take a right at the first (blinking) light, go one block and take a left at the second light, then an immediate right onto Townsend Street. All the way up Townsend (thru 3 lights) until it T's with Delaware County Route. 21. Take a left onto Rte. 21 to Franklin, again following signs for Oneonta (several miles). Rte. 21 will T with Rte. 357 just outside the village of Franklin. Take a right onto Rte. 357 and go thru the village. Look for Otego Street - the last street on the left as you begin to leave Franklin, after the Bed & Breakfast (also on the left). Turn left onto Otego St., go down a small hill, over the bridge, and bear right at the Y up the hill. You will go up and then down Franklin Mountain, about 4 miles, and reach a Stop sign. Turn left, (you will really be going straight), continue about 3/4 of a mile, and take your first right onto the overpass which goes over I-88 and the Susquehanna River. The overpass will T with Rte. 7; take a right into the village of Otego. Go to the light, about another mile and a half. The Gallery is on the corner of River and Main (Rte. 7) at the light. Parking is on the street in accordance with posted signs, across from the Gallery in the School parking lot, or in the Municipal parking lot behind the Fire House off River Street.

Coming from Cooperstown, NY Area

Take Route 28 to I-88.  Take I-88 West to the Otego Exit (Exit #12).  At the top of the exit make a right and conintue down to Route 7.  At the junction of Route 7, make a right hand turn (it is a T intersection with a Yield sign).  Folllow Route 7 into the village of Otego for about a mile and a half.  The Gallery is on the corner of River and Main (Rte. 7) at the light. Parking is on the street in accordance with posted signs, across from the Gallery in the School parking lot, or in the Municipal parking lot behind the Fire House off River Street.

Otego is centrally located in upstate New York off Exit 12 of Interstate 88, midway between Albany and Binghamton.
