F. J. Hesse has over 45 years of experience in the antiques marketplace. He is a member of the New York State Auctioneers Association. He has frequently lectured on the subject of antiques. He is an alumnus of SUNY Oneonta graduating with honors in Anthropology and Sociology. He has authored several articles on New York State Archaeology and is a Fellow of the NYS Archaeological Association.
Hesse Galleries has been featured in several nationally distributed publications including Antiques and the Arts Weekly (Newtown, Ct.), Ohio Antiques Review (Columbus, Oh.), NY-PA Collector (Rochester, NY), Art & Auction (New York, NY), Dorothy Hammond's Pictorial Price Guide to American Antiques (New York, NY and Toronto, Canada), Military Trader, American Indian Art, Antiques Guide, North South Trader, and Art and Auction Magazine.
 Annual Appraisal Clinics are held by Hesse Galleries in conjunction with The New York State Historical Association and Hyde Hall, New York State Historical Site both located on Otsego Lake, Cooperstown, N.Y.
